Journal #004

It’s been a little while since my last post, and there’s plenty to catch up on!

Today marks the release of SET ME FREE, a song I wrote this spring. It feels like a counterpart to “Fight for Love” and deserves a summer release. (Yes, we’re still calling September summer.) It’s an upbeat, melodic anthem with a simple idea at its heart: our actions can help others feel free to be themselves. Let people live their lives. Celebrate our differences. Turn it up.

THE VICISSITUDES Summer Sweepstakes wrapped up on August 27 with two winners and a whole lot of new listeners. Thank you to everyone who took part, shared the music, or spent time listening. During the campaign, the album passed 100,000 streams on Spotify and well over 200,000 views on YouTube. Seeing these songs reach so many people has meant a lot to me.

HUMANITY arrived in early July, though it wasn’t originally going to be my next single. A little nudging from friends and family helped me get it across the finish line, and I’m glad they pushed. Inspired by Artemis II’s journey around the moon, the song is a reminder of what we can accomplish together that none of us could achieve alone. That feels especially worth remembering in today’s political climate.

There’s more news coming soon about what’s next. Stay tuned—and thanks for listening.
